ye know i love the way yis tend to see this ,have ye noticed i only get the posts when shes in the pub, geris over there with two mates down in the blues bar probably horsen into the jar when somebody spots this yoke ,"hey look an oul space invaders machine, givish a go dat" "no yir too drunk" "well im havin a go"....................an hour later"what the.....its a commmuter" yer spillin fag ash everywhere...ring gerry...ah gwan..for the crack..etc etc :)
and yous call that rmanics?
Meanwhile back at the ranch,,any of yis know any thing about goldfish, back in sept /oct i kinda made this pond out of an old bath, sounds a bit crap but it turned out o.k anyway while i was in the hardware spotted that they sold fish, tony says i give us 2 or 3 of them jaysus, ye think i was trying to foster three rumainian orphans,ye pay for them now go home prepare a bowl of water for them from a bottle no less, let it stand for two to three days then come back and collect them then you introduce them slowly to their new inviornment and feed spareingly for the first week or two,we have a book on their habits 28euro and you,ll need a net and all this other stuff and by the way don,t let the dogs or cats near them large moving shapes give them a feeling if unrest and ill ease they need to bekept calm or it upsets their physcy(i think).......this from a guy who up to recently sold nothing but rat bait ,pickaxe handles, slash hooks and all manner of tools for ritual slaughter.....thats great ,tony i said, just throw them into a plastic bag and i,ll take them with me now, don,t worry they,ll be grand i,ll mind them....well at last i was allowed buy the feckin yokes....look i,ll come back for the book and all that if i get stuck...ive put them in a brown paper bag don,t take them out till you get home.......why?..its the bright sunlight,it upsets th........yea,yea i know their physcy..thanks good luck.....jaysus i thought leaving the shop thats all i need three shaggin vampire gold fish,.
Anyway got them home filled the pond/bath from the tap and horsed them in ,now in fairness i came out every day and fed them, turned on the hose now and then to give them clean water(we have a well so the water is almost chemical free) and when i couldn,t see them, poked them out from under their rock to make sure they were alright..........for about a month, then i sorta forgot them, ah it was gettin cold and they were at the other end of the garden and i was workin and it was commin up to christmas and then it was christmas and the days were gettin shorter and sure what the hell they,ll be grand........well i went out this morning, brillent sunshine but colder then a well-diggers ass, about an inch of ice on the pond, ..well i needn,t tell you it was with a heavy heart i was just turning away when i saw a flicker of orange and there large as life were me boyos ,are they just the toughest little hures you ever came across,i better go out and feed them now ,good luck,

Gerry!"
I meant..you and your G should marry 'each other' again!..or what is it they call it?..... a blessing?
You sound a great pair..you 'G's ! ( Imean you& Geri..not the goldfish!)..very loving and having fun :)
My daughter & her fiance have fishpond..and all their fish are ok even though its been freezing in London....but make sure you dont let water ice over as they need oxygen...if you keep a ball in the water this makes sure that ice doesnt form!
I have a water feature but no fish..just waterlilies!
Your animal entourage seems to be getting bigger Gerry..how many do they add up to now?
I dont keep pets....but feeding all the birds that come here takes up quite a bitof time..especially with the snow! I have to keep making patches on lawn for ground birds to feed...and replenish bird table twice a day...and de-ice bird baths! How they survive in such low temps I dont know...d'you know..tits have to feed constantly with hardly a rest..simply to survive!
But its worth the work--song thrush was there this morning..reward enough :)
Natures amazing isnt it?

A tip for you Gerry, it says place a pan of warm water to melt the ice on ponds - dont smash the ice as they can die of shock

Hope all the pets are doing well. My mind is boggling like Ellies does too trying to imagine you in a hotel room with 2 wolfhounds. Who gets the bed???

Hi Ellie,
Im trying to organise having our wedding blessed next summer (July), in the church you mentioned. The location is wonderful. We will have been married 20 years and it also coincides with my 40th birthday.
