HELP FIND OUR MISSING DOG!

Hi

Our Dog, Ted, has been living here in Portugal for just over a week now, unforunately this morning, some delivery men left our front gate open, unknown to us and Ted siezed the opportunity to go exploring. We have been searching all afternoon for him and as yet nothing. We have reported him missing to the vet in Lagoa and the Refugio also, He is microchipped and I have also reported him missing to them. So for all you people living in Carvoeiro - please keep an eye for him - we love him dearly and are all extremely upset especially our daughter, we got him from rescue 18 months ago after he had previously been abandoned and put in kennels for 83 days. He is a Staffordshire Terrier, 4 years old, brindle brown in colour with white on his chest. He has an orange collar and a white flear collar and his name is TED. If anyone sees him or knows of his whereabouts my email address is sueketley@yahoo.com . Please put the word around and help us to get him back. Any information or help will be greatly appreciated. Well I am pleased you found him. You must have been fraught with worry! Our next door neighbour(here ib London) has a labarador and it never gets out. If I move to Portugal he is coming with me; he'll have a much better life!

Will do! We had a laugh yesterday with him as my daughter was swimming underwater doing a lot of splashing, he went absolutely berserk running around and around the pool barking at her, then all of a sudden he lost his footing and ended up in the pool swimming alongside her - until he came to get out and couldn't, luckily we were on hand to pull him out. He's been very wary about the pool since! bless! On Saturday, we took him down to the beach - he had never seen sea before and had the time of his life - in and out of the sea, running in for his ball, until he came across a crab and tried to eat it HA!! It pinched his front paw - he wasnt impressed, but he lived to see another day - so he's definitely living a much fuller and better life here on the Algarve, beats living above a pub anyday!

I saw Ted as he was trotting merrily down the street while I was driving through Sesmarias! I remember saying to my kids ``Uh oh, someone´s staffie is loose...hope it´s not trouble"

Glad to hear that he returned safely.
Re the pool, my aussie does that too. Make sure that you work with Ted so that he does know how to climb out on his own...just in case.

He was a staffie? They are so cute waddling along walking. The reputation they have is so unfair! Next we will have 'Killer Poodles on Rampage' in the media.

I bet Ted is having the time of his life: i even admire Ted and jealous of him

Well it comes to something when I am back in NW England (as of last night) and my little Ted is living in the Sun before me (with hubby and daugther too - hes not "home alone".) I got something wrong there somewhere along the line! Three weeks today and counting ......

A lot of people criticize people for spoiling their pets: which proves one thing: These people are more humane and caring.

I used to have a Jack Russell called William any he was spoilt by the whole family and he knew it! There were times he 'insist' on sleeping on my bed and in the end I sleep up on the bloody floor!

I can imagine Ted now: On a sun longer;wearing sunglasses; sipping a Pina Colado and saying "this is a dog's life"!

Have no doubt! My daughter put a towel on a sunbed for him - which he dutifully jumps onto and when he gets too warm, he has another towel in the shade on the terrace and then theres always his own dogbasket in the cool of our lounge - daughter even said yesterday "Mum when he gets too warm he likes ice cubes in his water bowl and he likes you to hold one while he licks it (WHAT!!!) WHO is spoilt here! Says she sat in NW England looking at grey clouds. Ha!! Going to Tesco now to look at the meals for one section

That is like that Bernard Manning joke.

There were two young check-out girls in a supermarket and one says to the other "I can always tell when a man is single and not married!" She then says "watch this customer" - "ok" says her colleague.

Then, this man comes to the counter with a basket and put on the counter: one onion; one potato; small single loaf; one can of soup; and one small slice of cheese.

The counter-girl says "You are not married are you?"

The man replies in disbelief: "How can you tell?"

The counter-girl replies "Because you are a right ugly B******d!"

- Giving Ted ice cubes and having to hold them while he is the sun? Why not - nothing but the best for that little cheeky chappie!"

Ted must have a really lovely temperament!
