Gym/sport facilities

Hi,

We are coming out the carvoeiro on 8/6/08 for 2 weeks. My husband is an extreme fitness fanatic and will be a bit lost without the gym. Are there any gyms in Carvoeiro that are pay as you go?. You may think this seems strange but my husband holds 8 World records for fitness/endurance sports and is training to for the worlds fittest athlete guinness world record taking place this September so he really can't afford to miss too much training!

Any suggestions would be very welcome and also anyone who fancys training with him or showing him good places to run would be great.

There is an earlier thread I initiated titled Gym. Since then I have taken a look at the gym at Carvoeiro Tennis Club and they are OK.

There's the fitness studio (isn't that the same as a gym?) at Lagoa opposite the Fatacil on the first floor next to the hairdressers Victo Picardo.

Lisa, I think Pato should pop along for a session or two (if he lasts that long) with your husband. Anybody else suggest some other members in need of a severe workout.

There is a fitness centre at Rocha Brava by the tennis courts. I keep intending to use it but somehow ....................

I've walked past it a few times. Well..........walking's good exercise, isn't it?
