Wood stain advice required please

Hi all, we have a new dining room table in dark wood. Unfortunately it has been marked with a hot cup and this has removed the colour.(we now have a large circle mark in light wood colour!) We have tried lots of different pots of stainer from the supermarket and Leroy Merlin but nothing is working.

Can anyone offer any help or any names of stainers that would work, with our lack of speaking portuguese we are really unsure what to even ask for!!

If you know Carvoeiro well: Alex who works at jailhouse - his wife Louise is a professional wood polisher, she is wonderful at sorting things like this out and has all the equiptment and stains, she wouldnt charge much to take a look and sort it for you, i have her telephone number if you would like it
