Not sure if this is the right name.
I have to say that the Italian restaurant on the corner at the Semarias water tower was really good last week. The pizza's are fantastic and all made to order, the pasta and the service couldn't be faulted and the price very reasonable. Okay its a slightly odd place with excentric decor but really you can't fault it. We went twice in a week (open Sunday's) and it was full to bursting.

Da Donato is the name, Tricky. It is one of our favs too. Good sea bas - I have them grill it. Pizza is great too. VERY reasonable - nice family atmosphere. On Sat. nights they give you a number and draw at around 10pm - if it is your # the dinner is on them!. Also have Karioke on SAt. pm at about 11pm. (past my bedtime)

This is very close to where we use to live & I used it quite often. I'm sorry to disagree but the last pizza I had there was not good, the base is spot on, thin crispy but the topping was abysmal, there was hardly any of it which was just as well because what there was didn't taste good, I may have been unlucky in my choice, my husband said his was ok though again not much on it, & very limited choice of toppings. Maybe they've changed since then, this was last year. Do go to this place I really like it but check out the pizza's before you order one. Music night's great fun too, place is absolutely packed though.

Are pizza's on the allowed food list in Portugal being Italian?

Can't imagine that this would be the case. They were very busy in Feb. and March when we were there. They get alot of German golfers and families. As we were leaving they were preparing the outdoor area for service.

The words 'Golfers' and 'Germans' are enough to warn anybody off. No wonder the place is struggling.
