Easyjet Plus

Post by malrc »

For those of you that haven't had the e-mail here's the link to their new card which for £75/year (plus £25 joining fee) gives you 'free' speedy boarding

Why pay £75 a year when you effectively get speedy boarding by checking in 0n-line?
At Faro it only gets you on the bus early!

You also get priority check in which is useful if you do have luggage.

However, OH always books his flights months in advance, was interested in doing the £75 offer, but has 5 return flights already booked with speedy board. He was told "tough" - even if you join, you don't get that money back and you are not allowed to put it towards the membership fee." So he isn't going to bother.

Hi
My opinion of speedy boarding is i think its a money making gimmick
the bottom line is the plane cant leave without those who havent signed up to speed boarding plus the fact its makes the wait on the plane longer
before it departs from the airport.

If that is the case, then why do so many people who haven't paid for speedy board try to slip in the those people who HAVE paid for it? Surely, if Speedy Board were not worth having, then the non speedy boarders would not try to pretend they have it!

The reason is people are impatient the same applies when the plane lands
people try to get off as fast as pos when realisticly there are going no where fast.

ACTUALLY...I'll argue with you there Ed!!! We only take handluggage, so we dont have to wait for the magic carousel. Its off and running when that plane lands!

We never take hold luggage on Easyjet flights. Try to sit at the front of the plane, hop of first, get through passport control and are first in the queue to get the car. Why spend more time at the airport than you have to?

And what if you have a family of 3 anyway i respect your opinions
respect mine i take you must get seperate transport from the plane to
arrivals then and not travel with all the others in the one coach, i dont wait in the queue as i use the digital area for arrivals.

Bye

In that case if you see me on the flight, make sure you stand aside for me to belt down the stairs, get into the right place on the bus and shoot through passport control - I am continuously trying to break my door to door record - currently 5.5 hours ...

 We are about the same time FMM.

We hope to carve an hour off with on-line check in. Hate hanging around Gatwick for 3 hours.

I could carve 10 minutes off by spending more on a hire car of more than 1100cc....but Im too mean!

We time it from leaving home to sitting down in A-Gale for our welcome glass of BSE!

My next time trial run will be 21st April....roll on!

Just a thought....I wonder if Easyjet would consider letting people with hand luggage only off the plane first
(sorry Ed....just trying to wind you up!!! )

I'm going from Luton on 2nd April, but have my young son and my mother with me this time, which slows me down substantially. I have the advantage that the Bar Accordeo is immediately under my apartment, so I can get Joe to be making me a cocktail whilst I run upstairs and get rid of my luggage.
