restaurants

Just wondered what the possibilities of restaurants in the village accommodating 13 people at a time. We are coming to stay in June and would like to eat out in the evenings but with 13 would this be a problem and can you recommend any that would be nice. We are not into fast food as its a party of shall we say over 40's and like nice places to eat.

There's quite a few restaurants that can accommodate larger groups. Resaurants Algarvia, Colombo's, Oasis, Julio's, Chef Antonio's, Velha Lanterna, O Cantino for example & then there's the restaurants up at Monte Carvoeiro. I think you'll find all the numbers in FAQ, you'll need to book I would have thought with that number of people.
Have a happy holl'. :D

Yes, there is also Villa Medici and O' Patio. Don't forget International roma which has bags of spae indoors and especially outdoors with a lovely setting.

O Originals Cafe Restaurant

Post by snaj1 »

Hi,
Stayed at the apartments next to Carvoeiro Tennis Club.
We used to go to a restaurant just round the corner from there called O Originals. Its absolutely fabulous and reasonably priced. Has anyone else been there and what did you think?

We recently had supper there for my birthday. I had the steak with onions with some cubes of fried potatoes, lovely and soft but no salad for 19 odd euros???, my daughter had a turkey steak and a few chips and my other daughter had fish fingers (about 6/7) and a few chips. My husband had the special, which was some type of Kebab with chips and that luckily came with a salad. Come on guys, for these prices can you not just include a lovely refreshing salad to go with the meals? Surely a nice salad wont cost you that much?

Did you tell them? I think it´s always better to speak directly to the owners of the restaurant because hardly anybody of the locals is bothered about the carvoeiro forum
