We are looking into additional cover for our possesions during their journey from the UK to CVO.

Can anyone recommend a company who provide good and reasonable cover.

Are you transporting these items yourself or is a removal company doing it? The removal co. will have its own cover.
If its the former have you approached your existing home insurer. When you say personal possessions do you mean furniture or or watches cameras, golf clubs etc?

Floyd is correct. Your carrier, if reputable will have full insurance cover which will indemnify you for loss or damage en route or during loading/unloading.
Check that they have that cover. It should state it on your contract with them.

It is worth looking at the small print as regards the insurance terms of carriers. As far as I know most insurance in this field relates to written down values to reflect the age of items and the offer is often repair costs. I doubt that you will get new for old cover.

The other thing you need to be aware of is that many insurance policies have clauses that prevent double insurance. This is, of course, to prevent people claiming twice................bit of a mine field aint it!
