When I was in CVO at the beginning of december I spoke to Jan Zegers (Piu owner) and he told me that there will be fireworks!

I saw the guys that set up the fireworks in the village the other day and there are posters in the village and its advertised in leaflets too so it does seem to be happening and by the looks of it its being funded by piu.

We saw the fireworks being set up on Ferugado beach ( 3 containers worth _as part of the 8.5 tonnes used in the Portimao display.

We had our NYE in Albfeira where they were better than ever ( bigger than Portimao ).

How did CVO compare ??

In the news they said that the fireworks in Portimao were the biggest in Europe, so how can Albufeira be bigger? I agree, the fireworks from the old bridge were beautiful, especially the ones looking like a waterfall coming off it.

The Albufeira display covers a long stretch of coast with many locations maybe this is why they claim to be the biggest.
