Happy's

Post by J »

I've just been reading through some of the reviews and felt I just had to join and give Happys a mention. I can't believe nobody has mentioned it yet, exellent food, good atmosphere, a really friendly owner and cracking value for money. We ate there twice this year, had a lovely time, he likes to make a fuss of the children with a free lolly and a drink for the adults.
Just make sure you book as it is normally a full house. 8)

Happys has had plently of coverage over the last few years, and is well known as the ex-pats favourite eatery. Hence the need to book ahead.
Where else can you find Libbres' unique blend of food and insults?

One of the best restaurants in CVO, wonderful fish-and-chips and rabbit to die for. Libbe is great fun, gives as good as you give him, and his latest recruit Jack has obviously learned from him well. When we asked for a half bottle of wine last week Libbe said that he only did full bottles, but drink as much as you like and I will only charge you for that. Of course, we drank the whole bottle, but when the bill arrived he hadn't charged for any wine. We pointed this out to him but he wouldn't accept any payment. That's the way to get repeat business, not that he needs to worry, always busy and booking essential
