Globetrotter let us know how your lessons go, I'm having Portuguese lessons with a lady in Silves, me thinks it's muito dificil! Would be interested to hear how you get on.

Blue, will do! I think the language is much easier than some of the other languages I have had to try to learn (ie Hungarian and Slovene). The difference may be that the locals are really happy to help you, as well as very patient when you are trying your best.

I started last Spring and took intensive lessons in Portimão. 4 months of every day for 3 hours. It was a bit much and quite stressy but it jumpstarted my language skills.
