Have just returned last Friday from 3 weeks at RB with wall to wall sunshine for the last two weeks.
We stay at RB for 2/3 weeks 3 times a year and once a year try to go further afield.
This year we went to Sintra and stayed in the Sintra golf and country club for 3 days.
We went by train which was terrific.
We left our hire car at Estomber station and got the train from there to Tunes.
We changed at Tunes and after 10 minutes got the express train to Entre Campos staion in Lisbon.
We then got the local train to Sintra which again are every 10 minutes. It was so easy.
Because I am a senior I was able to get a 1st class return for 22 euros which is under £15.00. How far could you get for that in the UK?
The view as you go over the iron bridge coming into Lisbon is stunning.
In the 3 days we were there we visited Sintra, Cascais and Estoril.
We did Lisbon for 3 days last year which was one of our most favourite places that we have been to. So much to see and do.
We are now thinking of where to go for 3 days when we come next year.

Worth visiting Beja and Evora
We did Sintra last year and would recommend it. Evora and Beja are both excellent- We stayed in the Pousadas at both taking advantage of the Golden Years discount.
