Which translates into kill bugs, sometimes breakfast is called matabixo, it sould be spelt bicho.

Nice view although it's a bit cold when the wind blows. I've been twice and had the same thing, just a tuna sandwich.

Not impressed

We were expecting a tuna sandwich with salad (as served in almost every snackbar/pasteleria/bar), we got a bagette, tuna and some onion.

Next time I fancy a tuna sandwich I'll go to Bellisimo Café, now that's a sandwich!!!

Yes Bellismo is our fav we tried the othet for lunch, and were told no Sandwiches as the boss forgot to get the bread...Then offered a burger, which was horrid and was like a frozen one from a packet with a slice of horrid cheese...Think gets away with it because of the views....

We had same with Matabixo tried twice now and def not going back, just paying for the view which is very nice, but Bellismo Cafe is really good for a nice lunch

I've eaten here twice and it's been awful. The bread was so dry I nearly choked

Also Metabixo is the place where my marriage finally came to an end. So it's not all bad

Probably best to sample a few vinos there and admire the view.

Well, first of all, the sandwiches there are great!
I've been coming there for 3years now. Lars and Sven are the nicest people ever. Lars is always ready for a good laugh & Sven is like the kindness guy!

But... i've been there during the day tho, and it wasn't that great. The sun was lovely as usual, but the girl that works there is not that nice, comparing with the guys. Still... i dont think the sandwiches wore that bad.

well everyone is entitled to his opinion, every time i've been to matabixo always had good sandwiches, also matabixo and matabicho are both correctly spelled, in the old portuguese spell gramar ''x'' was substituted by ''ch'' as ''ph'' was substituted by ''f '', and yes... the view is worth a tuna sandwich with just onions, and as far i'm concerned i'd rather eat a frozen burguer that has been freshlly cooked than a salmonella burguer!

It wasn't Biffa, it was me and I thought I'd give it a second chance. First time Iza was there second time the owner. the person I went with thought the same about the sandwiches and we both agreed there are better places to snack, plus the coffee was luke warm!

Yes, Bellisimo offered me 10% of the days takings to mention them, lucky aren't I?

Watch out Ma Ja's I'm popping in at the end of Feb with my mum (I'm going to pretend to be a tourist

). I only want 5% as Feb is a quiet month.

Ive enjoyed a spot of lunch with Bifa's 1st D at Bellisimos..really nice

As for a good burger, try 'Le Doce' on the out road and up next to Anteak bar. I had a fab one there, big & beefy and delish milkshake (passionfruit)..it was my lunch and boy was I full afterwards!

In all the time of living there (was it there in early 90s?,can't remember

) and all my hols since, Ive never been to Matabixo, so can't comment.
