ELECTRICAL GOODS

Post by Guest »

I wanted a new Dyson DC15 Animal Cleaner Price in UK (Comet,Tesco Dixon and other outlets) £262.07.
Dyson whilst there are outlets in most countries, Portugal is not one of them. Nearest Madrid.
Telephoned Madrid and they gave me an outlet on the EN125, that they supply from Spain.
Telephoned Outlet on EN125. Yes we can supply you with a lesser model a DC14 at a special price of (and wait for it) over 600 Euros, yes a very special price indeed.
Telephoned my brother in Uk (companies in UK will not deliver outside of the British Isles) he picked one up for me from comet, last Saturday.
Saturday evening, via the Internet and plastic card payment, I then arranged with DHL to collect it from my brother last Monday. Price inclusive of VAT/and extract insurance cover of £5, total cost for transport £32.91.
DHL collected it as arranged from one of my brothers last Monday and should touch wood arrive anyday now (2-5 working days).
Total cost £302.90.
If I had puchased the LESSER model in the Algarve it would have cost me £416.00 and that is just for the cleaner.
I wonder how many Dysons are sold from the above mentioned EN125 outlet, they really most be doing a roaring trade. Rosy
ps I also, via a mobile number enquired the cost of someone advertising here in the Algarve, how much they would charge to bring one back from the UK on their nexted sheduled run. Around £80 plus IVA.

I should think she means what is the difference between the animal one and the ordinary one Rosy!

The animal one is supposed to pick up animal hair more effectively Summer, though to be honest my ordinary cyclone dyson does the job just as effectively

Hi Summer,
I am again unsure of your meaning "that sort of money"? Are you saying that you feel it to be expensive? If that is so, of course I must respect your opinion, which I do, but I must simply say that I do not.
Quality and performance of any machine for me is important.
Dyson, I have been extremely pleased with and have far out shone any other machines I have and have had. I also had a Dyson DC10.
The Dyson Animal DC15, is streaks ahead of most cleaners and extremely good value for the money.
For me, the difference of many cleaners on the market would be to compare a Fiat to a Rolls Royce engine.

That is true F.OFF.
I wouldnt buy a Dyson on principle. The asshole closed his factory here in uk sacking all the staff and moved the whole lot to India where he pays the workers a pittance. But still charges the same price for the cleaner. He and the shareholders are laughing all the way to the bank as well as laughing at all you mugs for buying it.

It was malaysia not india but I agree with all the other comments.

Dysons other " NEW PRODUCTS " have all failed to achieve the sales of the original and now you can by the same technology for half the price,

But a brand name is a brand name for those with more money than ???

I stand corrected tbbr, Malaysia not India. Agree totally with your other comments. Well said.

Please can we get our facts right.

REF: Dyson, Ltd
Tetbury Hill
Malmesbury, Wiltshire
Wiltshire
SN16 0RP
Tel: 0870 527 5104

After James Dyson commence his business and despite all the odds he somehow managed to keep his head and family above water, even after Hoover tried to copy his idea and he spent his last shilling fighting a court case, which he won.

Despite the misleading comments above Mr Dyson, he has not moved "ALL" his business overseas. Even HM Elizabeth II would vouch for this.

If anyone on this forum is concerned about cheap labour. I would suggest that for starters they look at sweat shops which are still operational in the UK and cheap labour here in Portugal.
Anyone who knows me knows full well that where possible I will stand up and be countered against anything in this world that I feel is unjust.
