newsletters and such

Hi everyone, we have settled back in after our wonderful 3 months stay in Carvoeiro. While in Carvoeiro I rarely visit this site or the forums, therefore I am catching up on the news and gossip now, by reading the newsletters and past forum postings that interest me. I would like to thank Nigel for his efforts in providing the news from Carvoeiro over the past few years and a big thank you to Karen for taking over so "seamlessly". I do look forward to the newsletter every month. I did enjoy the lunch with Karen as well and managed to go the the last Algar Seco meeting before heading home. It could have been held in a phone booth as only Gambrinus and Roy were there, but we had a very nice hour or so.
So now its back to counting the months til next January, but meanwhile we plan on enjoying the Spring and Summer here in Canada. Cheers.

Thanks for reminder of Newsletter Heini..just had a read and another interesting and lively letter Karen, loved the pics, though I am very envious of your good weather there now )
Hope you and Peter had lovely time Heini, I feel sure you did! Whats spring like in your part of the world now? Ours in UK has been a late and still cold one (well, it is here in Lincs,where we had icy rain yesterday ))....I could do with Karen's log burner
BTW, good to see Barney up and at it again..hes tought cookie
