Portable Air conditioning units

Has anyone used a reliable local company to hire or buy portable air conditioning units? Any details and tips would be appreciated.

no one hires them...we bought a portable ac unit....waste of money ..runs all day and still room is not cold., only thing it does do well is dehumidifier.

best to buy fixed units with outlet on wall outside
