buying in Carvoeiro

Post by littlemags »

Hi there

I am looking for some information regarding Carvoeiro. I am thinking of buying a property there. My objective would be to live there over the winter months and perhaps rent it out during the summer months. I would welcome information from people who have lived out there during the winter i.e how they found life there in the winter time and also it would be good to get feedback from people who have rented their properties out there too.

Kind regards

Until we moved here permanently we had never been in the height of the summer, and I was more concerned with how I would deal with the heat and the crowds.

I still prefer the winter, spring and autumn - the best times to be here in my opinion.

High summer is fine for a quick tan but obviously is the busiest time of the year and crowds/parking can be a hassle. As Kteee says the autumn and winter are particularly good. Take a drive up the West coast in mid winter and a walk on one of the footpaths - the scenery is superb and so peaceful.

We would not think of using our apartment from June-Aug, apart from any other considerations that it when you will get the best rentals.
The best month, May its warm to hot ,everywhere is open, not too busy.

Only wish we could spend more time in the Algarve.
