Quick question for the "Bods"

Have heard on the grapevine, that when selling a property here, you don't really need a solicitor? Any comments would be appreciated.
This is purely selling, NOT buying.

No, you don't need one - the buyer's lawyer will do the relevant searches and draft the contract, if there are no complications you should just have to turn up and sign on the dotted line.
