has anybody visited this restaurant - is it worth a visit when we are over next week

We have been several times and really enjoyed the food and atmos. No English is spoken and it pays to book. You sit at benches and are served -no menu- 7ish courses including coffee and a jug of Madronia (firewater) to finish. All wine is included, is good and the waiter never leaves you without! The food is whatever the chef gets from the market and usually includes things like boiled shrimps and ham to start then squid in a sauce, berbigao (cockles), bean stew (delicious), a rice dish, some fish and we've always ended with slow cooked lamb - magnificent. A great place to go with friends.

the restaurant is close to the church at the top of the hill in Estombar - when facing the front of the church take the road to the left and follow it round and there is a small sign outside and tucked away in a corner - took us some considerable time to find it.
