I am visiting Carvoeiro for the first time soon and was wondering if anybody had any places to recomend to me. I have never been 2 portugal before although I have been 2 spain.
Can anybody recomend any golf courses 2 me? I have heard there is a good 9 hole Par 3 course designed by a man who created the Belfrey, has anybody been there? I would also like peoples opnions on Zoo Marine and Slide and Splash? Does anybody know how much it is to swim with the dolphins there? and can people also recomend restaurants and shops? maybe restaurants with good Pizzas or Burgers and Fries. And shops that sell goods souviniers and sports equipment.
I would be be extremly grateful if anybody could offer me any suggestions or opinions
Thanx :D

hello, my names sam, i've been going to portugal for years. when are you out in carvoeiro? my family owns a brilliant bar and restaurant, and zoo marine is a brilliant day out, as is slide and splash, not sure of prices though. there are quite a few good places to eat, pizza, burgers etc, and loads of family places and also others for those out on family free holidays. will get a list of restaurants and try to find our price lists for zoo marine and slide and splash. golf's also excellant, and we run a golf day to meet others out there and enjoy a good round of golf.

TMR...
Take a bit of time to look around the forum and you will find ALL the answers to your questions (zoo marine, slide and splash, golf etc)
Enjoy your holiday and hope you find some good pizzas and burgers (please do try some real food too whilst here)

I too think it is a wind up. The questions about the burgers, pizzas and fries makes me think so?

You'd think TMR would have responded now if they were trying to get us to bite . . .

it is entirely possible that it is a genuine enquiry but just from someone who isn't "my type" but I do not for one moment think it will worry them
:)

You can get burgers, pizzas, fries, tacky souveniers, fake Man U shirts, you can go to british bars and get a pint of bitter, and spend all day sat round a pool eating magnum doubles if that is what you want . . . it is your holiday :)

but if you buy an ice cream in the square you are obliged to have a drink in Sullys or Smilers (depending on the weather) and before you know it you are feeling very tipsy and have to stagger home to make sure you make it to work in the morning. Also I quite like the occasional taste of home due to the fact I live here, although I must stress this is only very occassional!

I must admit I rarely eat Macdonalds but when I first came here I craved them It is funny because now they are available easily in Portimao and Albufeira I don't want them. Must be a case of wanting what you can't have!
