End of Summer

We are travelling to Carvoeiro at the beginning of Sept.
Is the music in the sq. still going on then and are the bars all open ?

All the bars and restaraunts will be open, there appears to be some doubt about the music due to the local bars and restaraunts away from the square objecting to the music (loss of trade). I think it's a nonsense and if I find out who they are, will boycott them. It would also appear that the local council got involved as well.

We'll be out the same time--what "sort " of music in the square can we expect at this time please Mike as we will be staying quite close by ? Elle.
Im not against it as i love music of all sorts--will i be able to see any Portuguese perfomers?

I went last year and its a real mixture. Some local music, dancing and some small bands singing more up to date numbers.
I thought it was great

Im sorry I missed the point Mike--you'll have to excuse me,Im very slow today--its the sudden attack of good weather here in Lincs-its made my brain go quite lazy----
But in all sincerity,I do hope there will be music in the square.As I said before I love all sorts of music-jazz--blues--old stuff,modern,and of course i like Portuguese Fado and the dancing--thank-you Ed for your info--I really do hope theres a change of heart there and that we will get "music in the square" for our holiday--
Is it really definite that there wont be any Mike?When youre out there(I think you said you are soon?) perhaps you can scout round and find out for us?
