WALK - MONDAY 13 OCTOBER 2025 - MARMALETTE

Linda will be leading this walk. We head out of Marmalette into the shade of the cork trees. It is only 8kms but there are a few ups and downs, about 4, but nothing too steep. There are gravel roads and some narrow paths in the forest section. Please bring a pole if you use one, wear suitable footwear, bring a drink, no charge.

Meeting time 9.30am. Meeting point: Car park opposite petrol station in Marmalette. Directions: Drive west on the N125, past Portimao and Alvor. After the petrol station turn right onto the M532. At Alcala turn left onto M1145 and head on up to Portimao race track. Go past the stand, straight on at the roundabout and take 2nd turning at next roundabout. Head uphill to Aquas Belas. At T junction go left, through Marmalette. At the petrol station park in car park opposite. Restaurant Sol De Serra is next door and should be open for coffee. We had a lovely walk this morning, not too hot, plenty hills and nice coffee stop after.
