Read It!

Have just finished reading Jenny Grainer's book,
'Fala Portuguese or Are You English?'
I always see favourite books as 'companions' and this book will take its place beside my other companions.......a humorous,diverting and at times quite shocking read it 'holds' you and never ever bores.....
Each chapter is different and tells of the trials,tribulations,joys,sadness but above all the love that this charming writer has for this
'Little bit of Paradise' we know as Algarve ....
She tells it as it was....I mentioned 'shocking' and you will be as you read of how primitive/basic life was for the ordinary Algarveans who worked the land and fished the seas, 30 years ago.
I have aleady started to read it once more..I want to take it in..digest and absorb as usually happens second time round.
I have only one critisism .....but a good one..I want more!
and Im sure this 'easy to read' author has more to say.....I sincerely hope so ...muito obrigada Jenny!
Footnote :The new batch coming out of Jenny's book is entitled:
'Portugal and the Algarve Now & Then'
making it more indentifiable for those who are not from the UK....
