Tiling
We have just purchased a villa in Carvoeiro and were wondering about tiling over the original tiles in the kitchen and possibly the bathrooms as they are quite old fashioned. Does anyone know of a local shop who will do this as we are not handymen and do not wish to do this ourselves?
When do you want it doing Elaine? It's the sort of thing I can help with in the winter. I di three bathrooms and the kitchen here last year, and have a few more to do. If you need it doing soone,r then I can put you on to some good guys who did our floors. (I didn't have the time)
It's no problem to tile over exisiting tiles, and contrary to some advisers, you don't need special adheisive or anything like that.
You would be welcoem to come and see our bathrooms to see if you are interested.

Nice to hear your comments - I think it is personal choice but the old tiles to me are now "dated". We are going to contact Bob when we get to Carvoeiro next week.
