NEW WALK : Thursday 22 Nov, 2012

Sue & I have found a new walk, and want to test it out with some others...if only to be sure we can remember the trail!

It's about 2 hours, nice walk through orange groves by a stream, and through some forest....but also a couple of climbs, not too steep, well rewarded with beautiful views! some parts of the descent are a bit steep, so walking poles advisable.

Directions:
From CVO, go over Silves bridge and right on N124 for about 4.9kms, driving past 2 cafes, one called " Casa de Pasta a Norinha" and one " Taberna da Norinha" , both on the left hand side of the road.

Turn left at a sign saying " Pedreira , Pinheiro e Garrado" and drive 0.4kms : turn left and park opposite Cafe Retiro dos Pescadores.

NB Do NOT turn left on N124 at the earlier sign saying just " Pinheiro e Garrado" , which is before the 2 cafes.

Start 10.0 am.

Wear stout trainers/walking boots....a walking pole would be useful.

Well, we were the only ones! Bruce somehow thinking that thursday 22 November was next monday!

Never mind, we found a slightly different walk, and probably a better one, up to the trig-point. Will certainly be on the programme for next year.

Oh, and a beatiful day for walking, clear azure skies all the time!
