laundrette

is there anywhere local where you can leave in clothes for drying? didn't have any problem with drying in previous years but .....
anyway ...... if you wash your sheets/towels etc is there anywhere local where you can dry them in a tumble dryer ie laundramat or similar?

There is the launderette in Lagoa. Did have two sections - one for service washes, one for own washes/drying. I have only used service wash there. It is not the easiest place to find and google maps does not give street name. Go up the hill past the market until you reach a sort of triangular square. Rua 16 Janeiro is on the left, but turn right and immediately right again into a narrow lane. On your left is a building, then sort of courtyard parking, then another large building and the launderette is in the next building. The roads are narrow around here with some one way, so check it out on Google maps first to get your bearings.
There is the launderette in Carvoeiro on the in road, but I think they only do service washes.

Thanks for the reply Sam. I know where the market is so will google map it for future reference. We had visitors out last week and there was a fair pile of sheets and towels etc to wash/dry and Sunday was a disaster. Got a lot of stuff washed and dried on Monday and balance on Tuesday morning before returning home so in the end didn't have to look for laundrette. I know it was a very hot and dry September but I cannot recall the past 3 Octobers being like this one. Seemed to be very humid conditions for time of year. Home now anyway so no worries.
