Castello Indiano

Post by EMM »

We walked by this morning and saw that there are new doors and windows.
Is it reopening as a restaurant or more apartments ??

The builders have been working there for the last couple of months, it will be more 'Pensao' rooms

The staff of Castello restaurant have moved to what was Cats Pyjamas, now called Hawali, which serves Indian food and Pizzas. They did open it a couple of years ago but although continued to rent it last summer, did not open. Still same management as Indiano.

That's a shame - we always like our visits to Castello when we're in CVO. We've always had good food, great service (although they sometimes struggled if it was really busy) and a lovely view. They always gave us the table we wanted, once i'd booked.
I guess they got used to us over the years but we enjoyed it there - i know a few regs on here prefer the other Indiano but we liked Castello.

what a shame this lovely resturant overlooking the beach has gone. Sometimes we'd go for a first night curry after arriving at our Appt. We'd end up having a meal there at some point in our holiday.

Walked past tonight, same menu as the other Indiano, staff were working had to get diners in.
On way back from Vimar we were informed by a drunken dutch lad that it was the best place to eat in Carvoeiro.
The only issue we have is that it was easy to park and collect a take away at the old place.
Not so easy where they are now !!
