Who charges for Air Conditioning ?

Post by widge »

If Michael Crane were available he could do one of those clever poles; in his absence I was wondering what proportion of rental property owners charge for Air Con & how much?

When we installed ours we increased our prices by £50/week.

50 euros a week?!! Wow - I don't charge extra providing people are fair with me and don't abuse the facility.

I don't charge, I may though if things don't improve, but a lot of people do. Tell the clients that the Air Con. is on a separate meter and if they abuse it you'll have to charge them, it could be difficult to enforce I know but it is a suggestion to them that they're being monitored, when they move in issue them with your own code of conduct for economy when they're using the system. 8)

A/c is a big problem, just paid a meter reading for a 4 bedroom house and it was 172 Euros for two weeks and the guests say they were moderate with it. Canadians and American cousins say it is standard in their countries, expect it here and shouldn't have to pay it. Cheesy was one comment and fell out with a Canadian family because of the charge, they also complained about being offered cover in restaurants and having to pay for it, so no loss there

Are these the same canadians that were miffed about the cost of the seafood in Silves, despite prices being marked clearly on the menus ... ? Perhaps their complaints over the prices should not have been taken so seriously!
