Casa do bife is the one I normally use - the steak is always very good there. Having said that, I have been to the one in Monte Carvoeiro and that was also very good.

Definitely Casa do Bife, the best stone steak in Carvoeiro in our opinion.

For the price it is good value but hardly premium quality steak. ( Also object to paying to cook my own food )

I’ve never understood the fascination with Stone Steaks whilst there is a perfectly well equipped kitchen on the premises that can do the job on your behalf.

Usually the steak houses - like e.g. Casa do Bife - not only do offer stone steaks but also various kinds of steaks cooked to perfection. The quality of the meat there has always been really good. The fact is just that many people like to cook their own steaks just for a change or because it´s kind of fun- But nobody who wants just a good steak, has to eat a stone steak. It´s up to you!

I'm taking some 13 year old's, they enjoy the fun of cooking for themselves,

It is the only time in Portugal I get my steak cooked exactly the way I like it.

And 9.95 euros for a steak, sauces and vegetables is pretty damn cheap.

I sometimes have the (Brazilian?) one which is thinkly sliced steak with a spicey marinade. Got a longish name beginning with either C or P. There - that was helpful!!!

Yes - Picanha is the one I was thinking of. Have had that at Casa do Bife sometimes and it is delicious.
