2nd Family Trip to Carvoeiro

Post by IOS »

Hi all! My family, retired parents and I are excited about returning to Carvoeiro for our second time this August.
We had a wonderful week last July and all agreed it was top of our list for holidays this year. :D
We visited many lovely restaurants, but the exact names of a couple escape me. I might try to do a bit of a review, but am hesitant in case I misname a couple or misguide people. I can give rough locations or descriptions of the ones I'm not sure about...
Congrats to all the moderators and regular contributors on here, which will defo leave us that little bit wiser this August.
We also have our car hire bagged and tagged - thanks Steen!

After much trawling we think we have found a lovely place in Sesmarias, owned by Marieke van Mierlo Pereira.
Here's a link: http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/portugal/p7467.htm
Do any of you have experience or information about the area or of the villa?
Any response is much appreciated.

Sesmarias is a nice area, although a little way from CVO beach - there are a couple of cafes and a small supermarket - Louisa's? is a lovely little coffee shop. Easy access to the beachs to the west (see the beaches section on this website)- they will be crowded in Aug!! and its close to Ferragudo and Portimao.

I think you'll enjoy it as it is nice and quiet if you want to chill out.

Just what I wanted to hear, Macassa.
We're not hardcore beach animals anyway. R & R, good food and drink, a bit of sun and what more do you need!?!
Thanks for the info.
