good price for english cheese

at Pingo Doce in Lagoa and Armacao de Pera (the one that was "plus") their english cheese are very well priced..cheeses can be frozen for future use

red leicester . 1.89 (modelos approx 3.99)
cheddar 1.79 (as above)
farmhouse mature cheddar 2.25 (modelos 4.25)

Noticed that in a recent visit - the 200g Pilgims Choice red mature cheddar was €1.64 - which is cheaper than most uk standard prices.

What about the Irish bacon, smoked or unsmoked 6 rashers 1.99€

I would say the bacon is a good price, compares to UK prices. Cheese sounds a good bargain, but saying that it also depends on the weight. 250grms at Asda/Tesco uk for mild cheddar is approx £2.10. Pilgrims choice cheese is definately a bargain to be had.

I notice Modelos in Silves has now dropped their prices as well to Pingo Doce levels
