Info Request
Hi there
We are arriving in Carvoeiro on Sunday and staying for a week at one of the villas for some golf and relaxation! Carvoeiro looks fabulous and is just what we need
. We weren't sure if there are any bars that may be showing the Chelsea v Liverpool match on Sunday? Also, recommendations for restaurants (as long as some veggie options) and good wines. Hope to hear from anyone.... Thanks a million - Angie

Re: Info Request
Angie, for restaurants, read through the Restaurant Reviews. You should be able to find something there. Also, look at EAT ALGARVE, a web site set up by Steen, this forum's Administrator and 'owner'.
Oh . . . . and welcome to the forum

Hi and welcome.
Ten months ago I was a "newbie" and asking all the questions. Now having been and fallen in love with the place I can only say you will love it. As for football, you will have endless choice with many bars showing premiership football. And restuarants - WOW!!!. There is so much choice. I haven't seen such a wide variety of eateries in one place before. It's now all about bars and restaurants though, CVO is a beautiful place with a great atmosphere. Enjoy

Re: Info Request
C-mon Richard....you know there isnt a word in Portuguese for v.....v.....vegetarian.
You see....I've lived here for 5 months and I cant say the word!!!
Actually that's not true....just my fun.....But the fact is that vegetarianism isnt a thing the Portuguese have in their culinary culture. They are big meat and fish eaters, but they are learning to adapt to the vegetarians that are now coming down from northern Europe, and most if not all the restaurants in Carvoeiro offer a veggie option, though some traditional places out in the country may not.
