The best way i can direct you is to say they are in a side street opposite the promenade. There are a number of car showrooms there, sorry i don`t know the names of the streets, but quite close to the Opel dealer. Hope this helps.

OK, I will have a go at directing you as well. If you come over the iron bridge from Parchal and turn left and park in the car park on the left hand side as the best way of getting there is to walk - its not far I promise!!

If you walk towards Millennium bank and carry on past the bank keeping it on your left. Continue along this road until you come to a small roundabout, where you will see the Opel dealer that Rolf mentioned. You will also see a Western Union opposite. Keep the Opel dealer on your left and carry on walking, at the end of the road you will see PT on your left.

Alternatively, there is a PT shop at Algarve shopping in Guia where I have found the staff to be more helpful than at Portimao.

Hope between Rolf and I, you will be able to find the shop :D

Has anybody had experience of PT Telecom when moving house - within Carvoeiro? We have a phone and Broadband - and will want both moved - how much notice do they need and is it straightforward. I realise very little is straightforward in Portugal but if I start planning now - it might all come together in June :)

We were going with PT but because the nearest phone line was in a pole in the street and they , they wanted to erect another pole on our plot.
Not liking that we went for cable. TV, Phone . internet.
We did have to pay to have the cable put in trench but it was cheaper than PT wanted to do the same and we have a " pipe " for the PT line is we ever decide to change.
We were lucky in that we were able to get the work done before the pavements were put down.

HINT: Consider using the PT shop in Silves. Small shop, (usually) far less queuing, and on the two occasions I've been the staff were very friendly and helpful; one of them even spoke excellent English.

(sorry cannot direct you... its up a side road, round a corner, and we don't want too many people to know !)
