airport transfers - Resorthoppa

Has anyone used this service? - having just bought a car I have been looking into the airport-CVO transfer. Resorthoppa are offering a RETURN service Faro-CVO-Faro (approx 1hr) on my selected dates in Jan for £18/person. This seems to be very good.

Check that it is door to door ( ie from your villa ) and not from a pick up point . hotel etc. Also that the time is to suit you not them.

They use some very big buses and you may have to have multiple pick up/ drop iffs.

I used them one time to get from Carvoeiro to the airport - found it a very good service but it does only drop off/pick up at major hotels.

Who does a reliable door to door service at times to suit us the customers for a reasonable price ?

The cost of transfers is one of the reasons why we have not bought a " runaround " yet ?

Hi maccasa - I should imagine the Solferias would be no problem. I was near the cente of Carvoeiro and arranged pick up from the Carvoeiro Sol. It was in July - mini bus direct to the airport with five other people.

We used resorthoppa once, when we came for a long weekend and stayed at Mirachoro. They were reasonable, but as others said there are other drop offs and pick ups.
This Sept we used Easygo (office in CVO) again, for a door-to-door private transfer, on a return basis and paid 90 euros return, which i think is pretty good value. And we've always found them very reliable.

Just booked Resorthoppa for collection at Faro on 31st dec and return in Jan total £38. They say transporattion takes abut 1 hr and departure is within 45 mins of your reportingto their desk in the arrivals hall - I will let you know!

So you need to assume 2 hrs from airport to CVO, would take some getting used to as we do it in 45mins or so at the moment.
( great for early morning departures ).

Cant see the 45 mins being really realistic - it can easily take 30 mins to get your hire car? If you have a suitcase another 15-20? So you leave one person getting the case and the other goes to sign in at resorthoppa desk (or get the car hire)
We normally only have a carry-on each so can get straight out and reckon we can be in our villa in 1hr 15 mins from landing. Using resorthoppa it seems to be another 15 mins or so before leaving the airport and another 20-30 mins journey time - which is reasonable and you dont have to suffer the mad B******s being 2 m off your boot on the A22, even when your doing 130K!.
I cant see any other way of doing it unless I can find someway of parkng my car closer to the airport (safely).

Are there any privately owned secure long stay car parks near the airport ?

Not that I can find - I even tried the universtiy to see if some enterprising students had set up a car park system for a couple of €/day. I intend to have a tour round next time have another look-see for a suitable site -
