Collina Village and washing machines

Post by mommabarb »

Hi a group of us are heading to Colina Village end of Feb. Reading posts on Collina Vilage, I see they don't have washing machines. Can anyone tell me if there are washing machines (laundromats) in the Carvoeiro area that you can use (coin operated). I too dislike washing my clothes by hand any suggestions would be helpful.thanks.

I don't know of any coin-op laundry in the area, there is a laundry on the in road into Carvoeiro who may do service washes - next time I'm passing I'll check.

D'you mean the laundry/ironing shop Taggy?
I used one when living there--from our apartment in rua dos carros(spllg?) I turned left out of aprt. then left again(as if going to 'old post office') and it was on the right?
It was excellent service as I recal--Id leave big wash(I didnt have washing machine)there & collect next day--all washed & ironed& wasnt expensive then either.
But I had huge sink on balcony where I did my smalls/then hung on roof terrace--dry in no time!
Ahhh-youve brought back nice memories :)
