Re: Bears in the Sqaure
I really couldnt see the point of the bears. They have no great artistic value. Rather reminded me of a load of kiddies fairground rides being stored somewhere for the summer
Re: Bears in the Sqaure
Are these bears permanent? Didn't realize that bears are indiginous to Portugal
Re: Bears in the Sqaure
I like the bears, they cheer up an otherwise dull & charmless square. They're going to Monchique next, then Portimao, then Fatacil.

Yep.. Very Nice Bears, Makes Sure You Do Get Killed As You Walk To The Beach With Your Children, Cause There Is No Where To Walk... Great One

Re: Bears in the Sqaure
Bears have now gone, but soon to be replaced by the mass August influx of Northern Portuguese, and the vehicle nightmare that creates.
Visitors beware, there are no warning signs or designated crossing areas and with no road markings apart from the silver posts don't treat the whole area as traffic free. IT'S NOT
It's a scary thought, that with pedestrians walking in the traffic areas of the square, totally oblivious to the traffic around them, stopping to chat, take photos, and walking around with children and push chairs, a serious accident is going to happen.
Whoever it was from the Camara that thought this new square/road scheme was a good idea should have gone with the bears, never to be seen again.
