Great places to eat in Carvoeiro - help!!
Great places to eat in Carvoeiro - help!!
Later this year 16 of us are coming to celebrate one of us turning 40 years young. We are all female between 30-40 and are up for a great party. Not looking for cheap, more good quality and great atmosphere. Any suggestions of where to eat/party on a Monday night in Sept?

I wouldn't say O Cantino has the quality or the atmosphere, might have more room but with advanced warning Maxines will do a large table down the centre of the restaurant for that number easily, the food is quality and the service very good.
We have had very different meals at O Cantino, some good, some bad but all with not very good service.
IMHO

Lesley, you could say that about most restaurants in Carvoeiro including Maximes. However, Maximes is an indoor restaurant and in September it would be a shame to be cooped up inside a restaurant with not particularly good air conditioning. I also think it would be a little unfair on other clients listening to 16 ladies on a 40th birthday bash, hence the outside would be a far better bet for everyone.

Oh God Mike, I so agree. We were in A Gale last year, and a group of 20 american lady golfers occupied the tables up the centre of the restaurant. they were SO loud and raucous that every other table finished their meals and got out of there as quickly as they could, with Carla the owner aplogising as we all left.
The funny thing was that a table of 4 canadians stood up to leave, proclaiming to all that they were canadian, and NOT american
It wasnt all bad though....next time we went to A Gale, we got a free bottle of wine by way of apology!!

place to eat
Forget about where they are eating (a bit of pizza from Catz Pyjama's sitting on the kerb will do) I am more concerned about the party after it. So Fiz tell us all more !!!! When exactly are we talking about in September and we can all book our winter break around it

When are you coming? Are you looking for sugar daddies, I will bring a crowd of my mates.
I agree with the other posting that Happys is your best bet for a good night out. You will really enjoy it there, but you need to book at least a week ahead.
