Building

Post by shanagarry »

We have just been granted planning permission to extensively extend our property in Carvoeiro.

Now the tricky (nightmare) bit starts - getting the building/construction completed.

I saw an advert for Danecasa in The Portugal News and went to their website - it all looks good but before I start making serious enquiries - has anybody ever had a property made of wood or steel in The Algarve and lived in it?

How does the change from traditional to wood/steel affect the value?

Would the planning permission have to be changed if we went down that route?

Is the construction time half that of building?

How does the cost compare with traditional building?

If anybody has any knowledge/experience of this type of home creation - I would really appreciate your guidance/advice.
