Spare Rib Restaurant

I overheard a conversation the other day about a scruffy restaurant on the way to Ferragudo that serves the best spare Ribs for miles?

I can't picture the place unless its the Paradise. I know there is a rib restaurant on the hill past Ferragudo (king of ribs) I think its called, but I didn't get the impression it was that one. Anyone know?

There is a restaurant on the road out of Ferragudo towards Parchal on the right just after the last bend (opposite the proposed new marina) which is run by a German guy who does ribs which are quite good - quite spicy. He also does prawns - only about five items on his menu.

The place you are talking about is Tasca Lougui, on the way out to Parchal. It has a simple menu of ribs, garlic prawns and prawn curry, and the last time i was there mussels for starters. The food is excellent and cheap and well worth a visit.

A Fonte does a great rack of ribs also

Just arrived back from King of Ribs/tasca louigi in Parcal/, ferragudo
thanks stevie-c, it was great, the menu was the same, ribs, prawn curry, garlic prawns, mussells.
there were four of us and with mains, chips, salads and at least 3 beers and 2 soft drinks, it came to 45 euros.
really nice. small place though and couldn't get tel number, so if there are more than 4 people its best to pop in and book the day before. it closes at 10.00pm and there is only two tables for more than 4.
