Unwanted Gas Cylinders

Post by carolyn »

When we bought our property we inherited two large gas cylinders, as the previous owner used gas for cooking. We do not use gas, so they are just taking up space and we would like to get rid of them and presume that the gas company will take them back. Does anyone know how to achieve this? Is it possible there was a deposit on them originally? Any help appreciated :!:

A deposit was almost certainly paid originally but unless you've got the paperwork forget it! Like you we had 2 x 45kg cylinders to get rid of and ended up selling them for €20 each.

Thanks for your reply Pete - guess we'll have to the same, as needless to say we have no paperwork! We are on VDM like you so I guess our cylinders are the same size too!
