Shipping small items from England to CVO

Post by The Burtons »

We are wanting to ship a few items of furniture and general household effects from England to CVO. Has anyone done this or know of anyone who has? Thanks.

Send a pm to Kteee - her husband Nick has done the honours for us in the past and may be able to help.
...and also may I say 'Welcome to the Forum Rayeileen' - See you in three weeks!! xx

We have used direct transport that are based in Albufeira to ship our cars and some small items and found then to very reasonably priced. They do a weekly service too and from the UK. You can even have your Tesco's shopping delivered to their UK depot and get it shipped out for 10 euros a crate. I haven't tried this yet but I am tempted.

Thanks for your replies. Have already spoken with Nick and also made contact with Algarve Removals - all looks promising.

removals

Post by suziebear »

Hi we used algarve removals to move some stuff out a couple of weeks ago, the staff were great from Benita in the office in the uk, John the owner and the removal men themselves, in collecting our stuff and bringing it to our house in Carvoeiro, however box no 18 is still adrift!! We had 21 boxes leave the uk and only 20 arrived - 2 of my items, (which admittedly I packed and bubblewrapped myself) had broken in transit, one of them was a wedding gift and the other a 21st gift! - so the saga continues.... so if anyone out in the algarve sees a box with the number 18 on the side and top - its mine! As we have to send some more stuff out pretty soon I am debating whether to use them again or try someone else. :?:

Hi The Burtons, have you shipped any stuff out yet - and mayI ask who you used if so and how did you find them. I am unfortunately still waiting for my box no 18 !!! So,I am looking at other companies for the next load.

We haven't gone ahead yet - villa not ready to receive items. Try the contact that Sandy mentions. All those I have spoken to are similar in price - some are based in UK and others in Portugal so it depends which way you are shipping as to which suits best. Hope this helps.
