Villa Vitoria

Villa Vitoria,
I am booked in with my good lady for 2 weeks in July 2008 at the Villa Vitoria.
A semi detached villa with pool on the outskirts of Carvoeiro,
Can anyone tell me precisely where it is, also the nearest supemarket, bar, restaurants.
Also the route from Faro Airport, Many thanks in anticipation looking forward to our visit very much.

Look on the map and then zoom in a bit, it appears to be on the in road into Carvoeiro which is a nice situation.

Beg to differ on location, this is on the RH side of the Centiane beach approach road

Thank you, I looked at that prior to asking I need directions once I have reached Carvoeiro.

Looks to me like it is close to Centeanes Beach but also on the road into Carvoeiro if you use the Estr. do Farol - Google maps estimate 2K from Carvoeiro beach. Don't know about nearest bars, restaurants supermarket etc.

I think this may just be a marker for Carvoeiro, rather than the villa itself. For some reason google maps has the Centeanes beach area marked as Carvoeiro rather than Carvoeiro town beach area.

If your location is on the Vale Centiannes road, there is an Italian Restaurant by the turn up the hill (Mona Lisa) not bad. There are a couple of restaurants in the shopping area at the top of the hill. One a pizza place (Pizza Napoli) which my kids say is OK....Ill take their word for it. There is also Algarve 2000, not a place I can recommend. There is a beach restaurant (O Stop) which is quite good, more so for lunchtimes.

If you walk along to the Rocha Brava complex there are a couple of places which are quite good, but I feel they suffer from being semi captive audience complex restaurants.

I really do believe that you will need a car to get the best from your holiday. You can walk into Carvoeiro from where you are, there are local small supermarkets up on the top, the beach itself is great, but you will get so much more from your holiday, if you have the flexibility of a car. To be honest, eating locally every night would be boring to me. There are many more, and better restaurants down in the village. There are lovely beaches along the coast, nice places to visit.

Many Thanks, I do have a car for the whole 2 weeks, as yet I have not pinpointed exactly where the villa is.
I have read a lot about Restaurants etc on this forum which is excellent. If some one can actually pin point the villa, I would be most grateful and buy them a drink when I get there.

Your best bet is to ring the tour company and get the exact address of the villa and make sure they tell you the road name as well (Road in Portuguese is rua) then we can all help a little more.

Have e-mailed them Thomson, I have instructions of how to get there but they are as clear as mud, Continue for a further 6.3km on the N125 towards Lagoa you reach the international School on your right, there you bear to the right in order to go to the traffic lights where you turn left as if going back to Faro (U-Turn) Turn right signs to Caramjujeira Lagoa. follow this road for approx 2.8kms. You will pass a turn to the right to Lagoa and Vale d'el Rei and later you will reach a fork in the road bear to the right in the direction of Carvoeiro and Benagil. Turn first right. There is a sign on the corner for Vivenda Victoria After 100m turn right again ( there is another sign for the house on the corner) Vivenda Victoria is on your left. Taking into account I am arriving in the dark and that in these instructions it is called Vivenda Victoria and on the Thomson site Villa Vitoria???

It's actually in a really decent spot and you will need to keep your eyes peeled for the sign for the villa as at the side of the road there are numerous low-level placards with villa names listed. The drive from the International School isn't too bad you just have to turn into the driveaway of the school and bear left again as you can't turn across the N125 at the junction you need. Just take the drive steady. Once you've turned off the N125 the road is pretty quiet and straightforward.
