Good Morning,

Coming out to CVO for a few nights on the 10th November,never had a break at this time of the year.Would like to know if many of the restaurants will be open?.I have heard that the weather can be chilly,will we need to bring winter woolies?

Hiya, we go out in November most years and have not had a problem with the restaurants, as there are quite a few golfers about at that time most of them are open.

Weather wise, it can be lovely a sunny during the day, shorts weather even, but the evenings do get cold so something warm for then. It can also rain unexpectedly so be prepared!

If you are staying in a villa which is not yours make sure you have heating as it gets cold and damp from November through to March, warm slippers on those tiled floors are a must

A hairdryer warms and airs the bedclothes quite well.

Buy hot water bottles when you are there. I have several and they are well used...

We are out for 10 days in November and love this time of year. The beaches aren't crowded and you can get in the restaurants without booking.

Ive never holidayed in CVO during November but have been out at Christmas & New Year. Recall one newyear, when I forgot to pack pyjamas & htwater bottle and had to pile on the blankets.
The furry slippers are essential with the tiled floors but it was nice to huddle round a log fire

I would pack a mac too. as Lesley says it can rain suddenly.
When living there, one of our winters was very wet, monsoon-like weather, although it can clear up just as quickly and have blue skies and sunshine again:)

See you all there - going out on Friday for 4 weeks. Have been going in November for the past 6 years and wouldn't miss it. I back up all that has been said, particularly about wearing shorts during the day and mostly quite cold at night, but of course, nothing like it is in the UK.
One of my year-long pleasant memories is of sitting outside a cafe in Ferragudo overlooking the beach, boats in the harbour, Portimao marina in view, eating an omelette, chips and salad (5 euros!), wearing shorts and a T shirt, basking in the summer sun, then realising that it is actually November.
