driving to fatima

Howayis all,
arriving in armaco next thursday 11/9 for a week and while i,m there i,m hoping to drop over to cvo and check out the flat over the ice cream shop,since nobody else could be bothered to even get a price(any excuse for a tear).
More important i,m bringing some friends who are stone mad to see fatima,you know the thing with the kids and our lady and all that,i suppose most of you pagans don,t know what i,m talking about.No matter,what i need is abit of a advice on how to get there ,something like the driving to lisbon post ,train ,bus ,car ,plane even ,all help and experience would be gratefully accepted.

P.S jaysus i just read that last bit again and it sounds like somethin youd put on the end of your letter when applying for your first job,ara what the hell,it might stir a few memories,

OK OK I recommend you take the car and a road map. Its motorway all the way. You have a choice of two bridges across the river to Lisbon: take the Ponte Vasco da Gama (thats the one furthest north) instead of the Ponte 25 de Abril which takes you into the thick of things.

When you get over the bridge vasco da gama follow signs "Norte" which should get you onto the A1-IP1 which takes you straight to Fatima. If you are spending a few days there check out As Grutas de Santo António or Da Moeda, breathtaking. If you have time try going back Marinha Grande (glass factories and museum), Caldas da Rainha(potery,museum and lovely garden) etc amazing countyside and views although probably slightly burnt!Have a nice trip, Pinkiebuesky
