quinta do paraiso

Post by rubyew2 »

Hi
Would anyone be able to give me some feedback or direct me towards reviews for the 'quinta do paraiso' complex please? We have booked to holiday there in Aug this year and cannot find any reviews etc. online.

Any comments gratefully received.

We are a family of four, 2 children aged 12 & 4 and haven't been to carvoeiro before.

Thanks

When are you going to be there in August Tracy? I've not been there in the height of summer yet got that to look forward to at the end of July. The swimming pools are a good size and they have mini golf and a play area. Someone died in the restaurant when we were there in October. I was taking the grandkids past as they were wheeling the body out. Can't quite remember why we didn't eat there :? Seemed to be a lot of Germans. I've heard that the people on reception can be a bit snotty at times but I didn't see that. It's fairly walkable to the beach but quite a climb coming back. There is a shuttle bus service. It'sa very nice area, I'm sure you will love it. Does your villa have it's own pool?

HI
Thanks!! I think... :? Might give the restaurant a miss then!!
We are there from the 4th Aug, just for a week.

We have booked through James Villas and have a 1 bed superior apartment, so one bedroom and a double sofa bed.

What was your experience of evening entertainment? We will have a car so can get out and about.

I take it you had a good time otherwise you wouldn't be going back?

Hi Tracy,
We have a villa on QDP and spend a lot of time there from Autumn through to Spring. Have no experience of August. The main apartment blocks are built around a very attractive pool area, with a main pool and a paddling pool. Some have recently been refurbished. It is a bit of walk down to central Carvoeiro, so we sometimes cheat and take the car and park it at Monte Carvoeiro, then walk down the hill. Can also recommend restaurant "O Branco", which is over the main road from the apartments. Good food and reasonable prices.
Hope this helps,
Barry

hi , we holiday every year in carvoeiro with our 4 year old daughter , quinta paraiso is lovely , just over the the road from quinta is the monte carvoeiro complex where you will find a great square with a water feature in the centre its surrounded by bars and restaurants , we can recommend the cocktail bar , and fernando,s restaurant and o,salamo restaurant , there,s also a good supermarket ar monte carvoeiro the "ali-super" from monte carvoeiro theres a couple of choices for walking in to town theres the quick route bye the o,salamo restaurant or you can take the road which follows the coast down the hill , at the bottom is carvoeiro square , you,ll be spoilt for choice for bars restaurants etc , again our favourites are the carvoeiro bar and sullys bar and charleys bar , mungo,s is good also , maximes restaurant is excellent as is ella ella , and the new bbq restaurant minstrals which we tried last year fanfastic food . we are over also in august from the 8th taking my father for the first time think this will be our 7/8th visit for me and the wife , also if you head in the opposite direction instead of town from quinta you have the villa nova complex nice restaurant there , then across the road down colina azul you find the orange restaurant , enjoy youre holidays you will love carvoeiro . we do !!

We go back because we our daughter lives there :D but it is a great place and you will love it. Good that you have the car so you can explore. Zoomarine is a must for the kids and there's a waterpark just down the road at Lagoa.
