SOLPHIA HOTEL/DIRTY NELLIES

Post by SKYROCK »

:? My friend is coming to Carvoeiro soon and is staying in a duplex apartment (have not got the name). Her only instructions are it is by the in road, past the Post Office and in a cul de sac. It is also near the Solphia Hotel (which I have not heard about) and near to Dirty Nellies. You can see the sea and it is also backs onto an ecological reserve with sea views. I have been to CV a few times but not get my head around this area. Any information would be muchappreciated. Thank you :)

Hi Skyrock, the instructions sound pretty mixed up!

I guess it could be those apartments on the right just past Solferias going down towards the old "donkey track" back to Carvoeiro centre. That track comes out at the bottom by Dirty Nellies.

There are apartments there in a cul de sac, you do look over to the sea and there is no building in front so looks a possible.

To get there - turn right from main "in" road up towards Solferias. At the T junction at the top turn left and take the nexy turn (I think) right where the apartments are.

Thanks Biffa for that information, I will pass this on to my friend. Is it in easy walking distance down to the square, or is it all uphill back, as she is quite elderly? We usually stay up the hill right hand side of the square, OK coming down but a bit of a hike going up, is it something like that.

Coming back next year though.

IF it is where I said it is (if!) then it is a hell of a hike down and back. Not distance but hill. A taxi will take her back for 5 Euros
