Travelling by car from Faro

My family and I are travelling to carvoiero at the end of this month. There has been lots of updates on the fires in the Algarve, but can anyone tell me if the fires are still burning. We are travelling by car from Faro airport to the Villa Centianes in Carvoiero and I am concerned that we will drive into smoke clouds at the least. Does anyone know what the roads on route are loke or indeed are their any diversions or roadblocks.

While I have the opportunity, I hope the people of Portugal are back on their feet soon as i am sure that many people wiil have been affected by this tragedy.
