Hi, this might be one for Roy. With the restrictions still in place with Easyjet from Bristol I will not be able to carry my saline or all in one cleaning fluid for my contact lenses in my hand luggage, as we don't book anything into the hold and only ever come out with just a small bag each (everything else is in the house) is it easy to buy these in the Pharmacy in Cvo?

Luckily this flight in November is an early morning one which means I can get into town and buy something before I need it that evening. We usually come in on a late night flight which would make it nigh impossible to get anything to store my lenses in for the first night. I will just have to put my very small bag in the hold which sort of defeats the object of going 'light'

My oH bought some lens fluid from Boots once he had come through passport control which you are allowed to do. He then carried this on the plane and left it in the apartment for his next visit. Do you have Boots at Bristol?

No Boots at Bristol although there is now a Superdrug, but the Superdrug in my home town doesn't sell contact lens things, so assume neither will Bristol.

You may be surprised as they tend to stock different items in the airport branches. Why not give them a call and find out - could be the easiest thing. I bet you would get through security with your lens cases in your trouser pocket and not get stopped. Probably not worth the aggro though!

What about the new "superdrug" style shop on the out road, perhaps someone has their phone number. Or or course the phone number for the chemist.

Options are:-

Get a trial pack of daily disposable lenses from your supplier so no solution required.
Buy solution here from an Optico (15 - 18 euros).
If I am here at the same time as yourself (please PM me for details), I can let you have a trial pack no charge or a month pack at 12.50.

Hi Roy, thank you for that offer it would be great if I could have some daily disposables, I suppose I couldn't bring them out with me from the UK either could I??? I am very short sighted though so don't know if I would be able to get the right prescription, also have astigmatism.

We are out 24th - 28th November, if you are there then thanks, but I will pay you for them.
