Apologies if this question has already been asked and answered. I have had a dish and sky digibox installed - this has limited free to view channels. Will my sky viewing card from home work in the box if I bring it with me whilst we are over?
We have Sky in the UK and always bring our card out with us to put in the sky box we bought in Portugal, always works no problem, strange getting West Country news and programmes tho'
We bring our uk sky card- it works for most of the channels apart from the footie- when it says card not compatible to box set!!
So I miss my beloved Tottenham when they are on live TV

Have you asked the people who supplied the box and dish whether they can also get you a card to go with it? I have seen cards advertised also.
Your card will work, but a rented box needs to be connected to a phone so SKY can interogate it (that's the contract you agree to in the UK). The way round that is to buy a digibox. You need a box/decoder with a big front end. The PACE box is best. I bought one via a local installer as mine bought in UK didnt have enough front end amplification, even with the big dish.
