Swimming pools - planning permission

We had intended to make a start on our pool project in September, but now looks like we will also have a building project going on in the UK. Given the time taken to obtain planning approval, we could make the application, then hold off installation until we're ready. Anyone know if there is a time limit between planning being granted, and the work having to start, or be completed?
